Based on GC Dilsaver’s book The Three Marks of Manhood, the role of the mother in the home is one where she can offer her tasks in the home as prayers. In this way, she is much more than a housewife, she is a home-maker, the maker of a home. She sanctifies her duties by doing them cheerfully. And her husband finds comfort and reason when experiencing his wife being of such cheer. She should be “home-loving” not running the rat race of the world while trying to be a stay-at-home mothers. She should infrequently have to venture away from the home. In this way she can maintain the tranquility and peace of a holy home and share it with her husband and children.
